It’s so Nice to Meet You

Madtown Birth Services was founded in 2024 by Taylor Duke, a birth doula. Taylor fell in love with labor and delivery while working as an inpatient phlebotomist in a hospital. She felt inspired by the strength it took to bring a child into the world, but she also observed situations where patients struggled to advocate for themselves. Taylor recognizes how confusing the healthcare system can be and hopes to help new (and repeat) parents find their voice. Whether you dream of an unmedicated birth or you prefer an epidural, Taylor hopes to help you achieve a birth you will remember fondly, a birth in which you felt heard and respected.

Taylor has worked in healthcare for nearly a decade, with experiences ranging from combat medic in the Army to department coordinator in the hospital. She is extremely passionate about patient advocacy and empowerment in maternal/fetal health. She is earning her Masters in Public Health at UW-Madison then aspires to work in global health, improving birth outcomes around the world.

In her free time, Taylor enjoys cooking, traveling, being active, and spending time with her family and rescue animals. Taylor is a living kidney donor and in March 2024, she climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania to raise awareness about kidney donation.
